(1 day until Pentecost). Israel had a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night to guide them into their new future. Christ’s disciples have the guidance of the Spirit who guides us to our new future. He guides us to the truth that is revealed in Jesus. He guides us to Jesus and is our connection to the Father and the Son. He takes the things of the Father and the Son and makes them known to us for the good of the Kingdom of God and our advancement toward maturity.
“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.” John 16:13-15
