A business person recently said, “I have more problems with Christian customers that I do with non-Christians. They argue over paying some small amount that they actually owe.” In our day of polarization folks are mad at everything and everybody. We were taught to be kind in kindergarten. To say that some of the kindnest people you know are not believers ought to make us weep. If the Spirit of Christ is at work in our lives, we will be kind and not mean spirited. To be unkind entrenches the folks of the world in their ways and makes them turn from Christianity. That is no little thing. Get full of the Spirit of Kindness.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23a NASB).
