(2 days until Pentecost). We must not make the filling of the Spirit merely our private experience. The Spirit was poured out on the believing community and transformed all their relationships. They began to behave justly and righteously toward each other and the world. God wants righteousness between individuals, nations, in the church, community and corporate world. The righteousness and justice of the Kingdom of God is that humans are to be compassionate, merciful, honest and fair in all relationships with each other. This is a manifestation of the Spirit’s coming!
“Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high…then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness will abide in the fertile field. And the work of righteousness will be peace, and the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.” Isa. 32:15-17
