The Holy Spirit comes primarily to reshape us in the divine likeness.  He, being God, works to make us look like Jesus, who is “the visible image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15). Jesus said that when the Spirit comes “He will testify of me”.  He is not only witness to who Christ is in our hearts, He points us toward Christlikeness.  He not only points to this holy goal, He draws us by the overtures of inviting grace. He helps us see our natural thirst for God, and it  a thirst which He Himself can fill. The Holy Spirit forms and conforms us to the likeness of Christ; this is true holiness.
