The layers of pride which have accumulated for a lifetime are more than difficult to peel back. We have added a layer of arrogance to a layer of self -sufficiency trying to cover a core of shame, pretense and emptiness. It has not worked. Yet the fortress is there! Who will tear it down? Who will come to break in; break it down so we can break out? Who will heal the hurt? There is One who heals! One who can set the prisoner free!
