The Father affirmed the Son at His baptism. “Immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him; and a voice came out of the heavens: ‘You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased’” (Mark 1:10-11 NASB). After the baptism the tempter came to Jesus and prefaced the first two temptations with, “If you are the Son of God”(Matthew 4:3,6). Satan is clearly trying to make Him doubt who the Father says He is. He comes to us to question and undermine our relationship with our Father.
