There are times when sleep takes its flight and is nowhere near. Don’t fret, pray. Someone has said, “Don’t count sheep; talk to the Shepherd”. Don’t worry; meditate on the goodness and greatness of God. Release your anxieties and cling to the Lord. When you feel the weight of the whole world, lift your heart in praise. State your love for Him; restate your commitment to Him. Don’t innumerate your problems; list your blessings. Let the night time be near time to your Father.
“My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. (Psalm 63:5–8 ESV)
