Messiah came first as a baby, wondered at by Jewish shepherds and later worshipped by Gentile magi. He is not just the Jewish Messiah; He is the Messiah for the whole world. He is the King to whom all kings will bow. He is the Lord of all lords. To confess him as Lord is to align our heart with His commands. It is a confession to be lived out by our thoughts, words and deeds. It is loving obedience from the heart.
O come, Desire of Nations; bind
All peoples in one heart and mind.
Bid envy, strife, and quarrels cease;
Fill the whole world with heaven’s peace.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel!
