You are free to forfeit your freedom. Only a fool would do that as a volitional choice. But that is not the way we lose freedom. We lose it by expressing freedom in forbidden ways. This is the path to slavery and the forfeiture of freedom. There is a freedom that always leads to slavery. There is a slavery that leads to freedom. In this freedom we are truly free.
