Yours the Kingdom
“Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever” (Matthew 6:14). This triumphant ending is our personal commitment to our Father. Why should I pray any prayer to Him if I am not willing to commit myself to Him? Otherwise, it is just a way of using God to get what I want. One of the worst things that you can do to the people around you is use them to get what you want. It is also true of using God. This triumphant amen calls us to give our very being to God. There is no real praying for users and the uncommitted. My prayer must be worship; it must set my Holy Father above my own needs. True worship and commitment to Him sanctifies our prayers and sanctifies us.
