Yours the Kingdom
“Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever” (Matthew 6:14). “Amen” does not mean “the end”. It is an affirmation of what has gone before. Every prayer needs an “amen”! (So be it! or It is so!). To a large extent, this prayer is the triumphant “amen” that covers all that has gone before and affirms the entire prayer. It is a victorious response. This is a prayer for the community, even when we pray it privately. It is to “Our” Father.
