Lead us Not
“Lead us not into temptation” (Matthew 6:13a). This prayer reminds us that we are to put distance between ourselves and sin. We have a tendency to live far too close to temptation. “You can’t escape it”, you say. Right! But you don’t have to set up camp next to it. Move your camp! Watch what you watch. Guard your eyes and your ears. Guard your heart. Be careful about your thoughts. We must develop good habits and actions that put distance in our lives and the lives of our children from what temptations we can.
