All ways of living are not equal, no matter how much you want it to be so. Some ways of living seem great and gratifying until the fruit of those ways begin to return. Resentment and retaliation can seem satisfying until they come back to bite you. Un-Christlike actions may seem sweet at the time until the things written start to change your story in very bad ways. It is the law of sowing and reaping. Jesus’ ways are the best ways. It is a tried and tested way of being in this world. He will not force you to take His way. Neither He nor you want that. To surrender your life to His way becomes the best way for the long run, and remember, we are going for the long run.
“And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:12-13 ESV).
