When foes come against you and problems confront you, there is One who is your shield. He is your defender, sustainer and encourager. Life may put you down, but with the Lord it can never count you out. Call out to Him. He hears prayers. Trust yourself and your situation to Him. Then lay down and sleep in confidence that He has your back covered, your path laid out and a way open for you.
“But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me.” Psalm 3:3-5 (ESV)
