(7 days until Pentecost). Pentecost was a day to celebrate the giving of the law on Mt. Sinai. God chose this day for His Spirit to descend to make a statement about the law. The law is not abandoned, but the Spirit who inspired the great moral code of the OT has come to write it on our hearts. Oh, how we need that! We need the Principle of the Law to be inside us. He will be our Compass, Companion and Comforter. He will lead us right as God has declared right.
“But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord, ‘I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’” Jeremiah 31:33
