This humble king riding a donkey is God’s promised Messiah. Wave your palm branches! Bow before Him! He is the just King and has come to establish justice. He has come to rescue us from our real enemies of sin, death and evil powers. He is in conquest of the whole world. He will not stop until the earth is as “full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea” (Isa 11:9).
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey…And He will speak peace to the nations; And His dominion will be from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.” Zechariah 9:9-10
