Isaiah 58:7 (NIV) Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter– when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

Clothing protects us from the rays of the sun and from the bite of the cold.  We all need clothes, coats, hats, gloves, etc. based on the climate in which we find ourselves.  God calls us to provide for the basic people needs of our fellow humans.  There were even rules that when a coat was taken for collateral on a loan, it could not be kept during cold nights.  Imagine the compassion behind that.  Live the Golden Rule. “When you see the naked, to clothe him…”
