In the face of the humility of Christ, I am smitten by my pride.  I did not see nor own it as pride until I saw the humility of God in Christ.  The King was born in a stable.  He lived as a refugee in Egypt.  He grew up in the humble town of Nazareth.  He humbled Himself, became a servant and died as a sacrificial lamb.  He was royalty riding a donkey.  He was the Son of God but referred to Himself as the Son of Man.  I have all these things I want for myself, and He only wanted to do the will of His Father.  Lord, have mercy!
