There is a seeing that does not end in believing. There is a believing that does not have to see. “Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven” (Mt 16:17). The Holy Spirit is careful to testify to us of the Son. He, by His inner witness, produces a knowing better than a message delivered from an angel. Belief without sight is not second-class faith. Precious is the faith of those who have seen the Risen Lord with their heart.
“Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.” John 20:28-29 (NASB).
