Why does God love us? Is it to get us to love Him back? Hardly! God loves us because of His desire for our well-being. He loves us for our own good and for our own development. He is loving us out of our disease of sin. He loves us for our healing. Certainly He knows that when we love Him back and begin to learn how to love others with His kind of love, that we are on the road to new health, true holiness, and real happiness. This is where His love is bringing us.
Oh, Lord, keep healing us with Your love so that we can be Your healing agents in a sin-sick world. As we receive and give Your love to others, You are healing us and them. Please, Lord, make us every whit whole! Amen!
