Life is to be lived by embracing the good. What does that look like? Act justly! Love mercy! Walk humbly! Our actions are to be just, right, and fair. That must never be tainted with contempt for folks that don’t live that way, because we are to love mercy. We are to love mercy for the widow, orphan, stranger and alien. We are to insist on justice for all people, because that is a part of doing justly and loving mercy. All of this must be done with humility, without arrogance, self-righteousness, distain and disrespect. Spirit, teach us how to walk this way. Amen!
