“Footprints of Jesus, that make the pathway glow; we will follow the steps of Jesus where’er they go” (Mrs. M. B. Slade). Jesus is, “The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world” (John 1:9 NRSV). Looking directly at a strong light will destroy your eyes. Light is given to enable us to see all other things. Jesus is the Light that makes us see right from wrong in a whole new way. He is the Light that dispels inadequate views of Father God. The light of the cross shows us how to deal with suffering, persecution and rejection. His pure light exposes our masks, our excuses and our unloving deeds. Let His light shine on your pathway and you will always know how to walk.
