Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “God is not mocked. It is not a light thing to God that every year we celebrate Christmas and do not take it seriously.” The Christmas story of the descent of the Son of God into our world is the greatest story that was ever told, and it is true. “And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory…” (John 1:14) The glory of Christmas is the Glorious Son! This is beyond momentous. It is the greatest event of history.
