“Fervently love one another from the heart, for you have been born again…” (1 Peter 1:22b-23a). There is a washing in being “born from above” that is for the purpose of “sincere love”. Love is the ultimate fruit of this change. It may have begun small, but it is to become so large that it fills the whole heart. God, who is love, has planted the seed of Himself in the center of our being in order to transform us into His likeness.
“Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.” 1 Peter 1:22-23 (NASB)
