Setting up the Ebenezer stone marked a milestone in God’s help. “Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Jeshanah, and named it Ebenezer; for he said, ‘Thus far the LORD has helped us’” (1 Samuel 7:12 NRSV). The Lord Who has helped His people thus far is not about to abandon them now. He who started a good work in us wants to see it finished. He is faithful. He has been faithful. He will be faithful. You can bank on it. So set up your Ebenezer Stone.
