“Honor the LORD from your wealth And from the first of all your produce; So your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine” Prov 3:9-10. The discipline of giving is a part of our spiritual growth. The underdeveloped soul has no joy in giving. God can change takers into givers, and the tentative into the trusting. We spend for things we want and value. Giving is a way of honoring God and wanting his work to advance in the world. The discipline of giving can open the way to the joy of giving.
