Flowers grow in rocky places. Birds sing in the wilderness. God makes streams flow in the desert. Angels ministered to Jesus there. Growth occurs there. Maturity is developed there. Your desolate place is not meant to ruin you, it is meant to change you; it is meant to make you like the One who overcame in His wilderness. Israel’s cloud by day and fire by night was meant to bring them to a promised land. God is leading you too. He will get you to the promised place after you have come through your wilderness.
Father, You found Moses in the wilderness, You brought Your people through the desert, You even led Your Son into a desolate place by Your own Spirit; bring us trough our trials and shape us by Your own grace. Amen!
