You cannot give yourself permission to be a critical person in one area of your life without it eating into the core of who you are in all areas of your life. Criticism salted with anger is in vogue. Ranting changes us. Criticism ends up embittering the critic. Your soul becomes sour when you sour on people or stuff. It is NOT written, “Be critical of your enemies.” You cease to be loving when you do not love, respect and honor all persons.
“But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” Luke 6:27-28 (NASB)
