The Christian life is not an achievement; it is a deep surrender.  It is not an arrival, but a journey.  It is a poverty that has found true riches.  It is a discovery that makes you desire to sell all else to have it.   It is not our possession; it is the One who possesses you.  It is an acknowledged deep emptiness that leads to His fullness.  It is a brokenness that brings about true wholeness.  It is the fallen being made into the raised.  It is the weak finding strength beyond themselves.  It is a life that embraces Christ’s cross as its own.  It seeks to conform to Jesus’ teaching, knowing it is thereby transformed.  Its goal is Christlikeness.  Its Heaven is nothing less than Jesus Himself.

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:6–7 ESV)
