The world is hungry for the Light; it stumbles in the darkness without it. Jesus who embodied Israel said, “I am the light of the world.” The vision of Isaiah is that the “Nations shall come to your light”. Let the Christ-Light shine through your life. Let Him be seen in your kindness, patience and love; let Him be seen in the way you suffer, weep and persevere. Earth’s people need this Lighthouse to keep from crashing on the rocks; nations can thrive if they turn to the Light.
“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and his glory will appear over you. Nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” Isaiah 60:1-3 (NRSV)
