I am fascinated by the butterfly effect. This is “the phenomenon whereby a minute localized change in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere” (Wikipedia). It can be a ripple effect, but it can stir up a great storm. It has the potential for great harm or great good. It is truer than we think: “No man is an Island”. This effect does not only happen in the seats of power with well-known persons, it happens in out-of-the-way places by little-known people. There is no life that does not have “The Butterfly Effect”. Our lives change people’s stories around us and ultimately change the world. Seek to be intentional, Christ centered, and Spirit directed in the waves that go out from your life.
