The Risen Christ breathed on the disciples and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit” (John 20:22). The Holy Spirit is the breath that made Adam a living human. The Spirit is the breath that makes us “new creations in Christ Jesus.” He is the breath of Jesus, as well as the wind of Pentecost. Me we live so close to Jesus that He is ever breathing His Spirit into our being. Without the life that comes from our Lord we have no life.
