Giving for the religious spectator is usually spasmodic. For the faithful, their giving is systematic. For the radical, their giving is sacrificial. To give out of passion for mission, and love for the Lord, divides the committed from the casual. Giving frees us from the trap of being takers. It transforms us from a stagnant pool to a stream of blessing. It discovers joy in helping others and advancing Jesus’ mission. It lays up treasures in heaven. It grows interest for eternity. It is an investment that is truly safe and will always keep growing.
Jesus said, ’It is more blessed to give than to receive'” (Acts 20:35).
