In a world of name calling, sectarianism, and petty differences, unity is fractured.  The Father not only wants His church to live in unity, He wants all of His creation to dwell in unity.  Instead of doing the things that make for peace, we do the things that insure division.  We speak without thinking.  We talk without listening.  We pin labels on others so we can stop our ears to their opinions.  Christ came to unify all humanity around Himself and has charged us to be His ambassadors, reconcilers and peacemakers.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!  It is like the precious oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard, Even Aaron’s beard, Coming down upon the edge of his robes.  It is like the dew of Hermon Coming down upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing—life forever.” Psalm 133:1-3 (NASB)
