When I was a little boy, a barking dog rushed at me from beneath his owner’s parked car and scared me so badly that I thought I was bitten.  I had experienced no physical harm, but nevertheless tried to find a scar to prove the attack.  The enemy of our soul is a master at creating fear and intimidation.  Do not give him the victory by believing his blusterous bark.  Do not let his growls and howls defeat you.  You belong to Jesus.  Our Lord has already defeated the enemy.  In Him, you overcome the evil one.

“For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.” Psalm 22:16 (NASB)
