We carry Christ into a world where many do not know Him and think that they do not need Him. The fact is, they need Him more desperately than they need breath. The purpose of the indwelling Spirit is to make intimate this Christ. The Spirit lives in members of the Body of Christ so that we can incarnate His presence and purposes in our world. He set the pattern for us. If people see only me it will be for naught. If they see Him they will find the Way.
“If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 8:10-11 (NASB)
