The Risen Christ does not merely come to us to show us He is alive. He comes to us to confront us when we have run back to our nets and to ask us, “Do you love me more than these?” (John 21:15-17). He comes to re-enlist us in taking care of sheep. His Presence is a reminder of our misplaced priorities. He wants us to know He loves us, and He wants us to show our love for Him by staying on mission.
