A dark world needs light. The Sun of Righteousness has sent us out as stars in the dark. He said, “You are the light of the world” (Mt 5:14). Daniel reminds us, “Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever” Daniel 12:3 (NRSV). Paul reminds us that by living moral and ethical lives, being blameless and innocent children of God without complaining or arguing, is to be a light to a “crooked and perverse generation.” Let your life be a guiding star in a dark place.
“Do all things without murmuring and arguing, so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine like stars in the world.” Phil 2:14-15 (NRSV)
