We have confused standing for the right as criticizing everyone who does not see things as we do. Standing for right is also an attitude that we express. We stand for right in the Spirit of Christ. We can speak right truth with a wrong attitude and still be wrong. We are told that we are to speak the truth in love. This is standing for truth with the attitude of Christ.
“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” Ephesians 4:15-16 (NIV)
