The doctor said, “Drink plenty of water. You don’t want to get dehydrated.” Water is so essential to our bodies. The Water of Life is so essential to our spirits. The deserts we transverse in life’s journey make us cry out for water. We don’t have to wait until we get out of the desert to find water. Our Lord has provided it to us wherever we are. He has given us an internal well of water (Jn 4:14). The water He gives us in His own Spirit. He is the Spring that goes with us through all of our dry places!
Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14 (NASB)
