Hatred of the human body is not compatible with the Scriptures. When God made it He declared it to be good. Yes, for now, it is fallen and touched by disease and decay. Just as Christ intendeds to take the creation back from Satan, so He intends to restore the body by a full and final redemption in the resurrection of the body. Our spirits will be joined to immortal bodies. “The Lord Jesus Christ…will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself” (Philippians 3:20-21 ESV).
“For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:53-55 NLT)
