God declared the created world good; Jesus came into the world as God incarnate (John 1:14), declaring once again by that very act that the physical is good. A holy God could not take on the physicality of this present world if it were evil. He came to not only declare it good, but to take His good creation back from the forces of sin and Satan and set in motion the things that were necessary for a restored creation. God promises that this good creation will blossom into magnificent new creation. What a glorious hope!
“For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.” Romans 8:22-23 (NASB)
