We are not just passing through; this world that is our home will be made into a new home; it will all happen when ascended saints descend to a new earth with their returning Lord. “But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness” (2 Peter 3:13 NLT). The new earth will have no room for sin and evil (Revelation 21:8). The future is marked for a physical world totally in harmony with the spiritual, the right, the good, and the holy. We live now toward that future. As citizens of the coming reign of God we begin even now to put out of our lives everything that is contrary to our future.
