The Holy Spirit dwells in our deep inner self so that the body becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit. Our relationship with God is about physicality as well as spirituality. Jesus Messiah was God in the flesh. The God who dwelt in Jesus wants to dwell in you, without rival, and make your body His sanctuary. Since your body is His temple, He wants you to depart from the unholy. Do not engage with anything that is contrary to your being a temple in which the Holy God dwells.
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (ESV)
