I am amazed at how often my computer and electronic devices, with their apps, need updates and upgrades. The electronic world does not work without it. I am finding that in my relationship with the Lord I need to keep things connected and current. Occasional there is a “bug” in my attitudes that can become a virus if the Lord and I don’t deal with it. Sometimes, before I can get something updated with my Master, I have to get it updated with my fellow servants. Updates and upgrades come about by prayer, confession, repentance, worship, meditation, solitude, discipline, as well as simple obedience.
Lord, help me care for our relationship better than I do my devices. Your word has said that if we draw near to You that You will draw near to us (James 4:8). Lord, I want You and I to work together to keep our relationship updated and upgraded. I need Your Holy Spirit to make it so. Amen!
