(Connecting Advent and Holiness)
“Concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,” (Romans 1:3–4 NASB). Jesus was the Son of David according to His birth. Jesus possessed the “Spirit of Holiness”; by this He was raised from the dead. This same Spirit indwells the followers of Jesus to produce lives of holiness and to prepared them for their own resurrection at the appearing of their Lord Jesus Messiah
“Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. Over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:6 (NRSV)
