There is a line in a country music song which says, “Hey, won’t you play another somebody-done-somebody-wrong songs.”  My answer to that is, “Don’t”!  We have all been done wrong at one time or another and it does not help us to keep wallowing in it.  It brings all of those old feelings back to us.  It does not heal; It does not help us let it go.  It does not help us forgive.  It makes victims out of us.  It douses us with self-pity.  Move on from those wrongs done to you, and give them no more power over you by singing about it.

“One thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13b-14).
