Sin is progressive by its very nature. Once you yield to sin, it becomes easier to repeat the action the next time. Then it traps you. Sin is binding, addictive and dehumanizing. It wreaks havoc in the human personality. Sin is an intrusion into God’s good creation. As we rationalize our behavior, we begin to live in false realities. A justifying reason for sinful behavior is always a lie. Avoid sin’s path. It ends in distortion, decay and death.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 (NASB)
