Jesus teaches us that loving God with our whole being and our neighbor as our self is the fulfillment of all the commands of Scripture. Therefore sin at its core is a failure to love. Do not judge yourself by the law of Moses but by the love of Jesus. Love is the basis of our relationship with God and man. Examine your actions and reactions. What were your intentions? Were you motivated by love for the other? If not, confess it and ask the Lord to make you one whose actions are constrained by the royal law of love (James 2:8).
He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment.
