There are unnoticed silent offerings to God. Secret giving to others is rewarded openly (Matthew 6:2-4). Why does God bless us for what we do for others? What we do for the Father’s children is deemed done to the Father. These silent offerings are unnoticed by others, yet the Father takes note of it and gives a blessing. Charity for the Christian is not about altruism, nor the feeling you might receive from that, but it is about giving offerings to the Father.
“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them” (Hebrews 6:10 NIV).
